Love is the greatest power in the world. The Bible tells us that God is love. When we allow God to love through us then we are truly making a difference as His ambassadors to a hurting world. Dan Clark tells a great story which illustrates God's love to a hurting world. In the story, Dan tells about his friend Paul. One Christmas, Paul's brother gave him the present of a shiny, brand new car. It was Christmas Eve and Paul was looking forward to the drive home from work in his new car. As Paul made his way to the parking lot, he noticed a little street urchin walking around his car. The little boy noticed Paul and said, "Mister, is this your car?"

"Yes, it is," said Paul. "My brother gave it to me."

"You mean, you didn't have to pay nothin for it?" asked the boy.

"That's right," said Paul.

"Gee, I wish I ..." and the boy hesitated.

Well, Paul knew exactly what the little boy was going to say. Of course he was going to say, "I wish I had a brother like that." Well, that is not what the little boy said. When he finished his sentence it went like this, "Gee, I wish I could be a brother like that."

This was Paul's first surprise of the day. He was so touched by the little boy's expression of love that he offered to give him a ride in the shiny, new car.

They hadn't been driving too long when the boy asked Paul if he could drive him home to his neighborhood. Paul knew exactly what the boy wanted. He wanted all his neighbors to see him come home in a shiny, new car. This is when Paul got his second surprise of the day.

As soon as Paul stopped the car in front of the little boy's house, the street urchin jumped out and ran up two steps and into the house. He was gone for a little while and then came back. Cradled in his arms was his crippled little brother. The urchin gently sat his brother on the steps and said, "See there, Buddy. There it is. Just like I told you upstairs. And someday, Buddy, I am going to buy you one just like it and then we can go see all those Christmas windows I've been telling you about."

Paul was so struck with emotion that he got out of the car and walked over to Buddy and picked him up and sat him in the car. Paul, Buddy, and Buddy's big brother (I call him "The Dream Builder") went for a Christmas ride I am sure they will cherish for the rest of their lives. And that is the day Paul truly understood what Jesus meant when He said, "It is more blessed to give."

Wow, that is what love and success is all about. When we plant a seed of love in someone's dream, the gift of love will always flow back to us - many times in ways we don't expect. BE A "DREAM BUILDER" AND LIVE A LIFE OF LOVE!
